About Us

As the home of baseball in Wellington, we foster growth, connection, and competition—supporting players, coaches, and the wider community from first pitch to lifelong love of the game

What We're All About

Wellington Baseball Association is the governing body for baseball in the greater Wellington region, delivering organised competition and development opportunities across all ages.

We support five community-based clubs located in Hutt City, Hutt Valley, Porirua, Levin, and Wairarapa, offering pathways from teeball programs through 12U, 14U, 16U, and Open grades.

Through inclusive competition, strong governance, and a commitment to player development, WBA builds community, connection, and a lifelong love of baseball across the capital and surrounding regions.

Equality

Baseball is for everyone. We are committed to providing inclusive, welcoming opportunities for players, coaches, officials, volunteers, and families, regardless of age, background, or ability.

Transparency

We believe in open communication and clear processes. Our decisions, policies, and operations are communicated openly to clubs and members, building trust and accountability across the association.

Compassion

We foster a positive, supportive environment where people feel valued and respected. Player wellbeing, volunteer support, and community connection sit at the heart of everything we do

Commitment

We are dedicated to growing and sustaining baseball in Wellington. This means supporting our clubs, investing in development pathways, and continually improving the quality of our competitions and programs.

Resilience

Baseball teaches perseverance, and so do we. We embrace challenges, learn from setbacks, and work together to strengthen our clubs, our competitions, and our community.

These values guide how Wellington Baseball Association operates and how we expect everyone involved in our game to behave.
